JOHN ALLISON, JR. (son of John Allison, Sr. and Martha Hamilton), was born in 1762, Orange County, NC., and died 28 Mar 1842 in White County, TN. He married 16 Apr 1789 in Orange County, NC, SARAH TOLER (daughter of John Toler and Sally Thomas), b. 06 May 1768 in Orange County, NC, and died between 1850 and 1860 in White County, TN.

John Allison, Jr. fought in the American Revolution in 1778. He and his family moved to Jackson County, TN, and were in White County, TN by 1809. John is buried in the Old Kemp Cemetary in White County, TN. A Revolutionary Stone marks his resting place.
