JOHN ALLISON, SR., was born about 1733, possibly in Ireland, and died about 1796 in Orange County, NC. He married about 1750 in Lancaster County, PA., MARTHA HAMILTON, born about 1733 in Antrim, Ireland, and died 1838 in Orange County, NC.

John Allison, Sr. came to America when a small boy and settled with his family in Lancaster County, PA. Martha Hamilton came to America 04 Oct 1796 as an endentured servent. She was assigned to William Allison (most likely John's father) for four years beginning 21 Sept 1746. John and Martha moved to Orange County, NC about 1755. They continued to live there until their deaths.

JAMES ALLISON, b. 15 May 1761, Orange County, NC; d. 23 Dec, 1839; m. (1) Grizell Porterfield, 20 Feb. 1782, Orange County, NC; m. (2) Elizabeth Wilson, 23 Oct 1823, Orange County, NC. James served as a soldier in the American Revolution.
