SHIP NEWS.
On Thursday arrived the Nereid from Hobart Town. On Saturday the brig Governor Phillips, Capt. A. Macfarlane. She mailed from Hobart Town the 11 th inst. Lading, ballast, and a small quantity of wine. Passengers — Captain Innes, 3d
Regt. Lieutenant Wright, do. Dr. Innis, H. E. I. C. S. Mr. Hart, Mr. Nicoll, and Mr. Rayner. Was blown off on Tuesday morning within three miles of the Heads. Sailed on Thursday the Prince of Denmark for the Bay of Islands. - On Sunday the Haweis for the Society Islands. Oh Tuesday the impress of Russia's ship Helena, Captain Christynkoff, bound to the north west coast of America. Same day the ship Lady East for Batavia and Bombay. Same day the ship Hoogly for Batavia and Singapore. Same day for Newcastle the brigs Governor Phillips and Cyprus and the cutter Lord Liverpool. Yesterday the brig Deveron for London. Same day the brig Brutus and cutter Mermaid, with the expedition for Norfold Island. -
