Children
In the Wagon Train, of 1855, James and Malinda brought their family of six, to Iowa. They walked and pushed a cart with their worldly possessions and settled in N.W. Richland Twp. of Decatur county. They built a one room log cabin near the banks of Sand Creek. In 1878 they built a new home. James and Malinda are buried in a field family plot of Theron Westervelt, two miles north of Westerville; an unmarked grave. References
