Pat: I wish that I'd been able to tie you into my line with more info but that wasn't to be. You asked if I knew when and where Wm. Martin was born...yes. Here is a brief rundown.

Hugh Martin & unknown wife came from Ireland, part of the Scoth/Irish immigrantion. Hugh d. in Augusta Co. 1766 with son Wm. as administrator of his estate. Children of Hugh Martin:

1. Sarah b. 23 Aug 1716 Carnmoney, Antrim,IR, d. young.

2. Sarah b. 16 Feb 1722 Carnmoney, Antrim,IR

3. William b. 25 May 1733 Carnmoney, Antrim, IR. Married Agness Hodges, dau. of Samuel Hodges (per his will), date unknown but in Augusta Co. probably. William went with his sons to KY. He d. Woodford Co.KY 1795.

4. Grizel b. 21 Aug 1734 Carnmoney, Antrim,IR m. probably in Augusta Co. to Charles Stuart.

5. Hannah b. 10 Mar 1735 Carnmoney, Antrim,IR

6. Samuel b. 26 March 1738 Carnmoney, Antrim, IR.

7. Mary b. 8 Feb 1741 Carnmoney, Antrim, IR.

Of all these children, the only one that I have knowledge of is William and his descendants. THAT alone took 22 years to solve <g>. I wish you the very best of luck on your William Martin.
