    The Creekmore family came from North Carolina in 1795. They settled on Jellico Creek where “my grandfather” Horatio Gates Creekmore was born. In 1821 he married Lurany J. Meadors, who was born 12 June 1803. The had 10 children:
    Delilah (Harmonson);
    Calvin;
    Bersheba;
    Jane (Ryan);
    Polly;
    Davis;
    Thomas;
    Franklin;
    Horatio (drown in Cumberland River in 1869);
    Kesiah.
