Herman and Juanita had two children, one son and one daughter.

Herman's obituary reads, "HERMAN E. JACQUAY. Herman E. Jacquay, 55, 2330 Cambridge Dr., died at 1:55 a.m. yesterday in St. Joseph's Hospital, where he had been a patient two days. Mr. Jacquay was born in Jefferson Township and was a lifelong resident of Allen County. He was employed as an electrical engineer at the Joslyn Manufacturing & Supply Co. He was a member of the Queen of Angels Catholic Church, the Holy Name Society and the Foreman's Club. Surviving are his wife, Juanita; one son, Capt. Louis H. Jacquay, Army Signal Corps, Ft. Monmouth, N. J.; one daughter, Mrs. Roger Monnier, Fort Wayne; two half-brothers, Clarence Jacquay and Herschel Jacquay, both of Monroeville; and six grandchildren. Services will be held at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday in the Mongovan & Sons Mortuary and at 10 in Queen of Angels Catholic Church, the Rev. William M. Faber officiating. Burial will be in Catholic Cemetery. The Holy Name Society will conduct Rosary services at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary. Friends may call at the mortuary after 7 p.m. today." Herman was buried at Catholic Cemetery in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
