- Christopher and Margaret ___ WANTZ have been listed on various websites as Catherine Wantz' parents, but I see no proof. At one time, 10 years ago, I had a baptism date for a Catherine Wantz in Berks Co., PA about a month or so after her birthdate; parents, George Wantz and Maria Motts. I have found baptisms for other children of this couple, but have not "refound" Catherine's, though her birthdate coincides with George and Maria's marriage date.
- One researcher lists the children of George and Maria/Mary as Michael, George and John with 4 other unamed siblings w/approximate birth ranges, 1 born after 1800.
- All references to WANTZ/WANS in Goshenhoppen church records.
