George Walton and Callie Tate lived in Cuba, Alabama when they married. They moved to Munday, Texas in 1923, where they owned a furniture store. In about 1930, they moved to Lubbock, where they operated a boarding house for Tech students. Mr. Tate later owned and operated G.W. Tate Texaco Service Station. Mr. & Mrs. Tate are buried in Lubbock.
