    ... Judge Lewis was twice married. His first marriage, in 1829, was to his cousin ACGCB Jane Brockenbrough Lewis (born Sept. 20, 1810), by whom he had six children:

    ACGAAA Louisa Lewis, died unmarried.
    ACGAAB Samuel Lewis, died young.
    ACGAAC Henry Bankhead Lewis, never married. He was killed in action at the Battle of Seven Pines, in 1862.
    ACGAAD Thomas Miller Lewis, married successively Alice Tayloe, Maria Baker, and Jennie Snowden. In spite of his three marriages he had only one child, a son who died unmarried.
    ACGAAE Robert Byrd Lewis, married Louise Parren. Their only child was a son who died in infancy.
    ACGAAF Lucy Pratt Lewis, married Oliver Ridgeway Funston. They too had only one child, a son who died in infancy.
