    ACGA Samuel Lewis (Nov. 11, 1780 - Nov. 28, 1842) was the oldest child of his parents. He married first in 1803 Sarah Attaway Miller of Port Royal, Caroline County ; and this first wife lived about nineteen years after their marriage. They had a family of eight children, born and raised at the family home at "Shellfield", Westmoreland County, Virginia. Samuel Lewis is said to have married secondly Marie Bayless of Kentucky, by whom he had no issue.
