Edward and Minnie had one daughter.

Edward's obituary reads, "EDWARD GLADIEUX, NEW HAVEN CAFE OWNER, DIES HERE. Edward F. Gladieux, 48, New Haven businessman, died at 5:45 p.m. yesterday at St. Joseph's Hospital, where he had been a patient one week. He had been ill several years. A native of Jefferson Township, he had lived in New Haven the last 30 years. He was the owner of the Gladieux Cafe there and had been in business the past 20 years. He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church and its Holy Name Society. The body was taken to the Harper Funeral Home in New Haven and will be moved to the home at 1131 Powers Street Sunday afternoon. Friends may call at the residence after 3 p.m. Sunday. Funeral arrangements are incomplete. Surviving are the wife, Minnie A.; a daughter, Mrs. Gene Place, New Haven; the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward A. Gladieux, New Haven; three sisters, Mrs. Paul Mulvey, Chicago, Mrs. Norbert Tustison, New Haven, and Miss Lucille Gladieux, Chicago, and one grandchild." Minnie's obituary reads, "MINNIE GLADIEUX, 87, died Monday afternoon at Parkview Memorial Hospital. Born in Lancaster, Pa., she lived in Allen County most of her life. Her husband, Edward, died in 1949. Surviving are a daughter, Betty Place, of Elkhart; a sister, Helen Resh, of Lancaster; and four grandchildren. Services at 10:30 a.m. Friday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 U.S. Highway 30 East, New Haven, and 11 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 943 Powers St., New Haven. Calling 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Rosary recited at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial in the church cemetery. Memorials are Masses to the church." They were both buried in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Cemetery in New Haven, Indiana.
