Edward's baptismal name was "Edwardum." His sponsors were Celestine Gladieux and Isabertha Hortense.

Edward was a farmer. He was known as "Pete."

Edward's obituary reads, "Edward A. (Pete) Gladieux, 83, of 837 Main St., New Haven, died at 10:30 a.m. yesterday in Parkview Memorial Hospital where he had been a patient for 21 days. Mr. Gladieux was born in Jefferson Township and resided in New Haven since 1918. He was a retired farmer and a member of St. John's Catholic Church and its Holy Name Society. Surviving are the widow, Mary; three daughters, Mrs. Leona Mulvey and Mrs. Norbert Tustison, both of New Haven, and Miss Lucille Gladieux, Chicago; a sister, Mrs. Louis Russel, R. R. 2, New Haven; three grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, New Haven, after 7 p.m. today. Services will be held at 8:45 a.m. Friday in the funeral home and at 9 in St. John's Catholic Church, the Rev. William J. Ehrman officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The Holy Name Society will hold services at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home." [Fort Wayne Journal Gazette, Wednesday 21 September 1955, pg. 14]

Mary's obituary reads, "Mrs. Mary T. Gladieux, 79, of 837 Main St., New Haven, died at 2:45 a.m. yesterday in her home. She had been ill about one month. Mrs. Gladieux was born in Connecticut and had lived in Allen County and New Haven for the past 65 years. She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church, New Haven, and its Altar Society. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Leona Mulvey of Santa Anna, Calif., Mrs. Norbert Tustison, R. R. 9, Fort Wayne, and Miss Lucille Gladieux, Chicago; three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Her husband, Edward A. (Pete) Gladieux, died two years ago. The Rev. William J. Ehrman will officiate at services in the Harper Funeral Home, New Haven, at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday and at 9 a.m. in St. John's Catholic Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today. The Altar Society will hold services in the funeral home at 7 p.m. Tuesday." [Fort Wayne Journal Gazette, Monday 25 November 1957, pg. 19]

They are both buried in St. John's Catholic Church Cemetery in New Haven, Indiana.
