Evan was tall and slender. He stood about 6 feet tall, and had dark auburn red hair, which was curly. His eyes were brown.

1843 Marriage solemnized at the Parish Church in the Parish of Cowbridge in the county of Glamorgan. 25 November 1843, Evan Jenkins (bachelor of full age; occupation chandler; residing in Cowbridge) son of John Jenkins (shoemaker) married Ann Davies (spinster of full age, residing in Cowbridge) daughter of John Davies (farmer), according to the Rites and Ceremonies of the Established Church Witnesses: Thomas Cox and Catherine John.
