On 29 September 1915, Ernest Dove (age 34) of Heaton Moor, manager and son of Edwin Dove, restaurant proprietor, and Dorothy Jepson (age 22) of Heaton Mersey, daughter of James Jepson, architect, were married by banns in the parish church of St Paul, Heaton Moor, co. Lancaster.[2]
