Cy and Cecilia were married by Rev. H. A. Hoerstman. It was Cecilia's first marriage; she was 19 years old. It was Cy's second marriage; he was 23 years old. A newspaper article on their wedding reads, "Participants in Double Wedding Ceremony Which Was Large and Pretty Event of Week. A pretty wedding of this week was that solemnized Tuesday morning at the St. Andrew's Catholic church, when the Misses Regina and Cecelia Wilhelm, twin daughters of Mr. and Mrs. John Wilhelm, of Molitor street, were united in marriage respectively with Mr. Walter J. Ryan and Mr. Cyril E. Ort. Mr. Ryan is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Ryan, of Gar Creek, and Mr. Ort is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Balser Ort, of Lillie street. The couples are now on a honeymoon trip to the northern lakes after which they will return to this city to reside. Mr. and Mrs. Ort will make their home with the former's parents and Mr. and Mrs. Ryan withe the latter's parents." Cy's obituary reads, "Emmit (Cy) Ort, 67, of 5225 Winter St., died at 4:08 p.m. yesterday in St. Joseph's Hospital, where he had been a patient three weeks. He retired in 1963 after 27 years with the General Electric Company's Enameling Department. He was a member of the GE Foreman's Club and the Quarter Century Club and the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Surviving are his wife, Cecelia M.; three daughters, Mrs. Kathyleen Lafevra, Mrs. Shirley Miller, and Mrs. Rosemary Shipman, Fort Wayne; a son, John E., Fort Wayne; two brothers, Edgar P. and William W., Fort Wayne; a sister, Mrs. Evelyn Kenhnlein in Florida; 19 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in Mungovan & Sons Mortuary and at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church, the Rev. Andrew C. Matthieu officiating. Burial will be in Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary after 7 p.m. today and from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. The St. Vincent de Paul Society will have Rosary services at 8 p.m. Friday in the mortuary." Ort, 68, of 5225 Winter St., died at 3:34 p.m. yesterday in St. Joseph's Hospital, one hour after being admitted. She was a lifelong resident of Fort Wayne and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Surviving are a son, John E., Fort Wayne; three daughters, Mrs. Kathyleen Lefevra and Mrs. Rosemary Shipman, both of Fort Wayne, and Mrs. Shirley Miller, Wolcottville; and a sister, Mrs. Regina Ryan, Fort Wayne.
