Moved to Habersham County, Georgia around 1820 or shortly after. A daughter was married in Georgia in 1822. Enumerated in Nash, NC in 1820 but Habersham 1830 census(Banks county was created in 1858 from parts of several counties and the Whitfield land was put into Banks county at that time. Elisha's farm was in the area of Damascus Baptist Church.) His land was recorded under the Georgia Headrights act in 1824 on Crockett's creek near the middle fork of the Broad River.
