- ↑ The estimated marriage date of before 1693 is based on the birth of daughter Hannah. This birth is record twice, once on 8 Dec 1693, and again on 8 Dec 1694. Given the birth on 14 Sep 1695 of son Eleazer, the 1693 date for Hannah is probably correct, and the parents married by very early 1693 or earlier.

Rosa Towne, adds a child Joseph to this marriage with no distinguishing details such as birth or death, etc. No birth or death records of such a person are found, nor is there mention of a son Joseph in the will. Without knowing the basis for this inclusion, it seems possible it was the result of misreading some record for Jephtah?
