Edward and Clara were married by Rev. J. Nicholas Allgeier. Clara was 75 years, 8 months and 8 days old when she died. Clara's obituary reads, "Services for Clara Bell Snyder, 75, of 3920 S. Hanna St., will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in Mungovan & Sons South Chapel and at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She died Friday afternoon at her home. Mrs. Snyder, a native of the Gar Creek vicinity, lived in Fort Wayne most of her life. Surviving are her husband, Edward N.; and a son... Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in Catholic Cemetery." [Fort Wayne Journal Gazette, Sunday 23 April 1978, pg. 14A] Edward's obituary reads, "Edward N. Snyder, 79, formerly of 3900 S. Hanna St., who retired in 1966 from General Electric Co., died at 6:05 p.m. Tuesday in St. Anne Home, where he resided 1 1/2 years. He was a lifelong Fort Wayne resident. Surviving are a son, Ralph; two brothers, Adolph and Louis, both of Hudson; and three sisters, Caroline Carteaux of Fort Wayne, Margaret Otte of Kaukauma, Wis., and Martha Gatton of Valrico, Fla. Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday in Mungovan & Sons Memorial Chapel and at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, where the rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Burial will be in Catholic Cemetery."
