"Edward Howard of this parish and Mary Earnshaw of this parish were married in this Church by banns with consent of parents this 14th day of June in the year One Thousand Eight Hundred and Thirty Two [14 Jun 1832} by me, R P White, minister."
During this period the marriage record books held in each parish did not give the ages of the couple or the names of their fathers. Both items were added after the "England Births and Deaths Registration Act 1836" and the "Marriage Act 1836" came into force, and registration began in 1837.
