Bob Ort is preferred. Edgar and Margarite were married by Rev. Oechering. Edgar was 20 years old and was a machinist. Margarite was 22 years old. Edgar and Margarite had four children, two sons and two daughters. They were members of St. Charles Catholic Church. Edgar was 77 years old when hed died. Edgar's obituary reads, "Services are 11 a.m. Saturday in Mungovan & Sons Memorial Chapel and at 11:30 a.m. in St. Charles' Catholic Church for Edgar P. Ort, 77, of 4263 Stellhorn Road, who died Wednesday in St. Joseph's Hospital. Mr. Ort, a native of Gar Creek, retired from the General Electric Co. in 1966 after 43 years. He was a member of St. Charles' Catholic Church, the Catholic Order of Foresters and the Holy Name Society. Surviving are his wife, Margaret; two sons, Robert of Fort Wayne and Daniel of Cheshire, Conn.; a daughter, Marilyn T. Dwire of Fort Wayne; a brother, William of Orlando, Fla.; and a sister, Evelyn Koehnlein of Orlando. Friends may call after 2 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be in Catholic Cemetery." ORT, 84, died at 12:12 p.m. Friday in Lawton Nursing Home. a lifelong Fort Wayne resident, Mrs. Ort retired in 1966 from City Utilities. She was president of the Democratic Women's Club in 1957 and 1958, and was a former Democratic precinct committeewoman. Her husband, Edgar P., died in 1980. Surviving are one daughter, Marilyn Dwire, of Fort Wayne, and Daniel P., of Cheshire, Conn.; and 10 grandchildren. Services at 10 a.m. Monday at Mungovan & Sons Memorial Chapel, 2114 S. Calhoun St., and at 10:30 a.m. at St. Charles Catholic Church, 4916 Trier Road.
