Classification: Query I've searched for additional data on Daniel Mouse and consistently find a reference for his marriage to Eve Speigle in Frederick, Md.

That is incorrect per Rev. Carolo/Carolus (Carl) Lange's own recordings. He indicates that he performed the marriage on 10 Nov 1767 on his 2nd trip to Virginia. On the same date, in other places in his recordings, he mentions that he was at the Gap on the South Branch on Nov. 10, 1767 for services attended by various members of the families of Busch [Bush], Jung, Kaufmann, Biedert [Peterson], Schmidt, Weiss [Wise] Heyri [Hyre] Deiss [Theiss or Dice] Bossert [Buzzard] Leeck and others.

Lange on 10 Nov 1767 on pp.74 and 88. A complete list of those attending the services and, therefore, likely attending the wedding, can be reconstructed.

No other Spiegel is mentioned - and that might beg the question of whether she was a widow or how she might be related to others in attendance that day.
