Oral Traditions

Letter from Gary Miller to Vera Bastin (2/9/1978) Alma mentioned meeting Clint. It sems she knw him after she was divorced from Tracy DeFries, but she didnt care for him. Then one day, she saw Clint involved in a car accident, and he was hurt. Apparantly, at the scene of the accident, Clint proposed to Alma. At first she protrested she was already engaged. But later, when she saw her parents opposition, she was determined to break her engagement with someone else and marry Clint. I remember Alma saying that she was married at Aunt Mary's place under a bower of roses. There was a chivaree and a honeymoon to Grand Junction, cut short when Wayne drowned.
