1814.08.28  LETTER FROM ISAAC HAWKINS TO BENJAMIN HAWKINS, South Carolina Union the 28 of the 8 month 1814
    Loving brother and sister Benjamin and Olive Hawkins [2nd w.] and your children I am glad of this opportimity of wrighting to you to infor you how we are at this time (.) I am trouble with a disorder so **    I am troubled much at this time so that I can hardly sight to wright (.) I received they letter which was grate satisfaction to hear from you all and from brother John for I did not eexpect to that he was alive for I have not heard from him this long time(.) Thee has wright to me abou they money I have got all they money that I expect to git tel I sel more of they land- I have not got nothing from the wido hollingsuorth- I have gat they money from James Davis I got nine hundred and niteen dollars but I cannot git any chanc of sending it yoet Thee Wright me to send it by Johathan Roberts or Jonathan Cook I intend to send thee seventy dollars by Jonathan Cook and thee may send for the rest as son as thee can thee has writ to me about the mil affairs with William Rise I think that it settled for I paid him for his troubel so conclud they

1815.01.15  LETTER FROM ISAAC HAWKINS TO BENJAMIN HAWKINS
     "South Carolina Union District the 16 day of the first month 1815(.) Loving Brother and Sister. Benjamin Hawkins and Olive Hawkins and your children(.) I gladly embrace this oppertunity to infour you how we are at this time(.) I expect the medison that 1 have been taiking that Caleb Fraser has given me has heltp me and will help me against the Spring to the rest of my childern are midling well for ought I know thee has wroght to me to send out what money 1 have got for thee from James Davis for rent(.) I received the first payment 130 dollars and then thee received 20 dollars and the bridg being taken away by the water that was alowed to be 190 dollars to be taken from thee first---pree and 1 revived 919 dollars from David Johnson for Jame Davis(.) I received 20 dollars from William Wilson and 15 dollars from William Hollingsworth and 12 dollars from John Brown for the rent of that land at the nil all this money is from the estate of John Cook---the land thee give in for me to pay for was 831 acors and the tax was about seventy sent a year the whole land list year it was double what it was before-thee may inform Cousin Amos Hawkins wrote me me abought his fathers land thee my tell him I have not sold the land but I will sell it as soon as I can--- their is one dollar and 12 1/2 cen of this money that I have taken to pay John Ashby for carring thee chain of they land which thee ought to slow in the deision of this money thee wrote to me about that money I pad to Richard Cox for thee and Brother Amos 1 paid it of thye money and he must pay thee two dollars and 50 cent that will make it right----thee has wrote to me for to send thy money(.) 1901  Statement qf Jemima Hawkins Winship in May to B. X & to E A. C.   January 6. 1901 (Correctedfrom S. C. Record%)
     Benjamin Hawkins and wife lived alone not far from their children. One Sunday after having been at Quaker Meeting they  were at dinner when Benjamin Hawkins suddenly fell back in his chair and died. He was buried in the Quaker burying ground. Died in June on Sunday when I was about three weeks old. Olive [Cook] Hollingsworth [wife of William] near Quaker Institute, Ind. Benjamin owned half a section of land in [Ohio or indite]. Charity [Cook] daughter. 
    Benjamin I Hawkins moved to Maryland, then to Virginia. then to South Carolina on Broad River. About 1801 he moved to Butler Co., Ohio.  Benjamin Hawkins had a large sugar camp near his home. Wain Twp. Butler., Co., Ohio
