In its issue for Wednesday, the marshall News announces the issuance of a marriage license to Arthur E. Van Aken, of battle Creek, and Miss Helen Newman of Coldwater.

Newman-Van Aken Mr. Arthur Van Aken of Battle Creek, and Miss Helen Newman were united in marriage Wednesday morning at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Newman, east of the state school. The ceremony was performed by Rev A.M. Gould of Kalamazoo, in the company of 25 guests. The bride wore a costume of brown crepe over silk and carried a shower bouquet of roses.

Mr. and Mrs. Van Aken left in the afternoon for Battle Creek, where the former is a foreman of the plumbing department of the Advance Thresher Company.

A E Van Aken and wife went to Quincy today to visit his sister, Mrs. Daisy Freeman, southeast of the village.
