Notes on Andrew Allison: From "The Gathering of the Allison Clan" web page (http://www.allisonclan.org/ia1750.html_ ALLISON, ANDREW (b. probably near Londonderry, Ireland - d. in Pennsylania); Scotch Presbyterian; with brothers James and Robert (both q.v.) came from Londonderry to Philadelphia about July 1, 1750 and had issue (of record): 1-Theophilus (born 1747 - died Iredell County, North Carolina, Octobert 5, 1815) married 1800 Sarah Simonton, two sons; there is a tradition that he was born in Scotland, first settled in Pennsylvania, lived for a time in Georgia, finally settling in North Carolina.

Andrew was born c1720 in Ireland, died 20 May 1780 Rowan Co., NC. He m. 1st Ann Simonton and 2nd Margaret McConnell, dau of John who d. 1754. Andrew's children: Adam m. Mary Cath. Barr; Theophilus m. Sarah Simonton; Elizabeth m. John Oliphant; Sarah m. Allison; & Margaret m. Robert Hill. I think most children were by Ann. judithaw@gte.net

Their daughter, Jane Oliphant Hill, married Isaac Arthur Brown Ross, and Ross is my mother's maiden name. Thsi line migrated through Mississippi on to Texas. I have Andrew Allison's father as James Allison married to a Mary___. I also have Andrew Allison as having one brother, Thomas. I have no other information, but desire additional data or a reference book in which I might look. I just saw your message and realize it has been about a year since it was posted.
