Their daughter, Grietje, was sponsored at her baptism by Grietje Voight. This women's identity is unknown, but is thought to be the mother of Annetje Ariense, and the grandmother of the children (see the Ulster County Genealogical Society "Genie" for March 1979). "Voight" is not a surname and means "guardian." Aert left his wife after the Indian attack of June 1663, when his house was burned. He seems to have used the occasion to desert his wife and children, and may even have returned to the Netherlands. She filed for divorce and eventually married Jacob Jansen Van Etten, who had been employed by Tack on his farm. The children of Tack were raised in the Van Etten family. (See Olde Ulster Vol 2, pg 345, also Vol 7, pg 207).

The source of information for their third child, Lysbeth, is unknown and so her inclusion in this family must be considered speculative.
