He was the son-in-law of Maritje Mynderts (see Dutch Records of Kingston, Oppenheim, p 156). She granted a Power of Attorney to Thomas Chambers and others concerning the estate of Aert Pietersen Tack, allegedly because she was his mother-in-law. She was the wife of Jan Barentsen Wemp who died in 1663 (Early Records of Albany 3:265). A woman of the same name was also married to Sweer Teunisen Van Velsen AKA Van Westbroek. He may have been the son of Teunis Krynsen of Etten, Netherlands. References
