  2.   Source:American Genealogist (D.L. Jacobus), Vol. 49, p. 175, discusses the difficulty of identifying Mary Challis. The only known records suggest she is the daughter of Thomas Challis and Mary Colby, but she is inexplicably not mentioned in either the will of her father or the probate of her brother, which strongly suggests she is a different Mary Challis.
