[The following analysis is based on the work of Kent Walker as presented on Ancestry's Georges County, MD, Message Board]

The majority of genealogist identify Daniel Walker (14) (b.ca 1640-1702) of Talbot County Maryland as the father of Charles Walker (11) (b. ca 1665-1730) who lived and died in Prince Georges County Maryland. This view seems to be based on the facts that

Daniel (14) is of about the right age to be Charles (11)'s father, and
Daniel left a will dated 1702 in which he identifies a son Charles.
I Give and Bequeath unto my Sonnes Daniel Wm and Charles Walker and to my Daughter Mary Walker all the rest of my Goods Chattells & Credits to be equally divided among my said three sonnes Danl Wm and Charles and my daughter Mary.

Land records for Charles Walker (11) in Prince George County show that his wife was named "Rebecca". Their births of their children are given in the records of Prince Georges St. Barnabas Church, Queen Anne’s Parish from the years 1695-1717. About this same time period a Charles Walker in Talbot County is found selling land (1709, 1713, and 1716) with wife Elizabeth releasing dower rights on all three occasions. Need birth records for children

If the Charles Walker selling land in Talbot County (1709-1716) is in fact the son of Daniel (14), then he can't be the same person as Charles (11) since the two Charles' have different wives. On this basis the Charles in Talbot County is identified as "Charles (69). The situation is probably a bit more complex than this, as its possible that Charles (69) is not the son of Daniel, but another Charles entirely. That would leave open the possibility that Charles (11) really is the son of Daniel (14). More work on this point is needed. That said, the point has to be made that the only reason found so far for believing that Charles of Prince Georges County is the son of Daniel (14) is that Daniel (14) did have a son "Charles". Direct evidence to show that his son Charles moved to Prince Georges County is needed. As it stands, there's no direct evidence to support the idea that he did move to Prince George's County.

As an alternative Kent Walker has noted that there was a George Walker with land “Plumpton” living close to where Charles Walker later lived on the Prince Georges / Anne Arundel border. Its possible that this George is Charles father. He also notes that there was a Charles Walker transported 1680 by Capt. Peter Paggen out of London in ship “Elizabeth and Catherine” who could conceiveably be Charles (11).
