Latitude and Longitude [14 September 2007]

Hi Raymond... Found this bit in a help section for you at Help:Place_pages

Latitude and Longitude -- Enter the latitude and longitude of the place. Use decimal numbers (not degrees-minutes-seconds). Use negative numbers for south latitude and west longitude. (Note: It is very helpful to enter this if possible, as it drives the automatic map displays shown on the pedigree pages. If you enter your place name into the online map tool Multimap, it will show you the latitude/longitude automatically.)

Changing nickname [5 October 2007]

Hi Ray,

I think I have at least a partial solution to the question you emailed me about regarding your username. While I do not believe that you change the username, you CAN create a nickname that will show up instead of your username when you "sign" something. That option is available under "My Relate" then "Profile and Messages." Click "Edit Preferences" and you will see an optional box in which to enter a nickname. That can be your name in any format you wish. While my username is still Kittydoc, you'll see that in my signature, it's Mary.

I think we are "distantly" related [26 June 2008]

Hi....

My name is Steve Markle, and we have found a number of members of our family tree that married into the Cummins family that lived in Millgrove. We are hoping that you can help us sort it all out. Thanks in advance.

Steve

Dupes in your own GEDCOM [12 June 2009]

Greetings. I volunteer for WeRelate, helping de-dupe duplicate person and family pages. Your uploaded GEDCOM appears to have duplicates in it. We prefer that contributors de-dupe their own GEDCOMs. It's easy to do. Simply log in, select "Show duplicates" from the "My Relate" menu (upper right) and walk through the steps. If you need help, let us know. There are many here who can help. Thank you! jillaine 12:46, 12 June 2009 (EDT)

Place:Low Dutch Valley, New Jersey, United States [2 July 2009]

Hi, I am a volunteer admin for WeRelate. I need to know what county to put Low Dutch valley in. Otherwise, the system will index this place as a county.

Thanks,
