Ed La Montines [12 September 2008]

Mary Margaret Mayfield La Montine was my great Aunt...I only remember seeing them two times...once in 1950 at my Grandmother's death (Mary's sister) and then in 1953 when her sister Heddie Victoria Mayfield Jackson died... the information I have in here is most all I have except on some of the living decedents of hers....when you add your information we can connect the two together by using the same page for Family:Lawrence La Montine and Mary Mayfield (1) I only found this about 6 weeks ago it is great....if I can help you anyway just let me know and if you have any pictures please add them that is what makes this site so great we can work together

Ed LaMontine [12 September 2008]

I had a space between La Montine but have corrected to LaMontine...yes we can merge the pages...it will be easier to upload a Gedcom file that is what I did you may need to edit some of the pages once you get it loaded...I am doing that to mine for some reason it did not add all my information...and then you have to add the pictures you want to add to each page...it took me a few days to understand the basic things of the program but the more I work on it the more I love it...I have had several to add information that I did not have...and am finding more kin folks and that is great..

Yes he did go by Ed....All I ever knew till I started researching family in 1995 was Uncle Ed and Aunt Mary....I remember two of the girls Leona and Livona they were at my grandmother funeral...I was 10 years old at the time but I remember them very well...

I have another picture I am going to add of Uncle Ed and Aunt Mary and Leona when she was a baby....

It is taking time to do it all I am working on 6 different trees....have about 8000 name in the lot... but I enjoy it...

I am retired 68 years old...wife had a light stroke Aug 3 but she is doing ok..still real weak

when you edit your notes if you but ==before and after== it is what gives the bold orange letters in the notes but you must make sure you start at the very edge of the page if you leave a space before the first == it will nbot work... and you do not want to make it to long something like ==obit== or ==1880 Census== if you want to have a diving line just put ---- it will give the line below

Hope this helps and does not mix you up....by the way my personal email is dlbradley1@gmail.com email me and I will give you my address and phone number...

Lawrence LaMontine [13 September 2008]

If you like we can merge your page and my page on Lawrence Edward LaMontine...then when you or I add something it will benefit both...the question I have, do you know for sure of his death date as it is different form what I have...I was only giving it by a cousin..that was not one of his children...if you know for sure I will correct mine....it is up to you but this would connect our family information and if you have more that you can add to Him or his children I would be grateful...and when you add his father, mother, sister, and brothers it would all tie together....Donald--Dlbradley1 13:58, 13 September 2008 (EDT)

adding Ged file [13 September 2008]

I think you are using family tree maker....but it should work with any program....open your file...go up and click file...then click export...then click entire file....choose the file you want then make sure that you save it in GedCom(*GED) then come on WeRelate an upload it....if you need to call me 270-836-1670 and I will try to walk you thought it...I am not the best at this but I think I can help you get it uploaded.... Donald

P.S. I will see if I can get our Pages merged--Dlbradley1 17:11, 13 September 2008 (EDT)

Lamontine [24 September 2008]

It was great talking to you also...I have been working on merging duplicate pages in my tree...If I can be of any help let me know...I just found another branch of my mother's family and have been busy adding that...I find this site to be one of the best I have found...still learning about it...but just find it better all the time...it takes a while to learn how it works...

Please add pictures when you get the time...I know it take time to add all the things...I have a lot of pictures yet to add...I have a second cousin that his father is dead...he had very few pictures of him..his wife left him and burn all of the pictures of his dad...we found each other on the internet a few years ago..his dad had visited us during his service in WW2 and my mother had a real good picture of him in his uniform and I had it so I sent him a copy...he did not think he would ever see a picture of his dad again...now I have uploaded it on here...and have sent him the information to view the site..and he has..and he is going to be adding information...it is so great to be able to work together on our families....and brings us together..were we would have never been....
