re NZ family Clyde Howley [9 December 2012]

Hello Patrick,

I notice that you are 'watching' this family group, & I would dearly love to make contact with either of the two remaining (alive) daughters of Clyde Howley.

Are you able to assist with advice or passing on my contact details please?.

Our father Barrie Brettoner was an internationally acclaimed theatre organist, & during his three months playing at the Auckland Civic Theatre (where Clyde also managed the 'wintergarden'), he stayed with the Howley family.
I have some photographs that I'm sure the daughters would be interested in (family snaps etc), & would love to 'pick their brains' concerning any recollections of our dad's time with them (Nov 1934 to June 1935).

At the time they lived somewhere in 'Narrow Neck', Auckland New Zealand.

Looking forward to your reply, & any suggestions or offers of further assistance.

Kind Regards,

Noel Brettoner nbrettoner@yahoo.com--Nbrettoner 10:32, 30 March 2012 (EDT)

Hello Noel: I only found your message here today (10 Dec 2012 NZDST) when I was alerted to changes on this site. I had long since forgotten about this site, and have done no editing since I placed my gedcom file here in 2007. After loading the file I realised that I retained no control on this site, and decided not to continue here. That may change now that I know someone else is working on what I think of as "my files". I am not completely comfortable with the T&C here. The Howley family is only connected to me by my brother-in-law (wife's sister's husband). His mother was Moira Howley, long since deceased (although I don't have the date). I can probably get that date for you if you need it.--PatrickRossiter 14:37, 9 December 2012 (EST)
