What a terrific page! And your other pages as well! These are exactly the kind of pages I was hoping for when we launched this site. I hope others follow your wonderful example.--Dallan 21:19, 17 March 2006 (MST)

Thanks, Dallan. I am going to make this site my "home page" for one of the three browsers on my computer. I am using Firefox almost exclusively, Microsoft Explorer if I want to view the census at ancestry.com, and Opera because I want to familiarize myself with its design. It took me over a week to recover from my trip to Provo for the computerized computer conference. I am not used to the altitude, the cold, or the snow! I was not well when I went to Provo, but when I got home, I had asthmatic bronchitis. Despite this, I enjoyed the conference and the time I spent visiting with my son and my brother.

I hope you're feeling better by now. Let me know if there's anything I can do to make the site more useful. By the way, I use firefox almost exclusively as well. I haven't tried Opera though; I'll have to check it out.--Dallan 18:01, 26 March 2006 (MST)

Right now, I am working on too many projects, but this keeps me focused and going when otherwise I might do nothing but play "Text Twist" at Yahoo Games! Or eat twizzlers and play Text Twixt. I am working on an article for the Alabama Genealogical Society Magazine (I've submitted a few, already) and the deadline is looming! Hope my health will stay at least as good as it is now; I'm on prednisone for wheezing and a cough meds and the singulair and double doses of advair! Anyway, life does tend to interfere with family history pursuits. Just downloaded the final beta of Clooz; just wish I could learn to utilize it or figure out if it was worth learning. Am I duplicating my PAF entries if I use Clooz? hmmm.

I wonder if it would be a good idea to integrate Clooz with a record manager (like PAF) so you could hyperlink between source information and your pedigree?--Dallan 08:56, 31 March 2006 (MST)
Hi, I am Beth Gay from Alabama. I own the first edition of Clooz. I am not a Clooz person. However; Clooz is integrated with Legacy Family Tree 6 and 7.0.--Beth 09:40, 23 June 2008 (EDT)

Hey Margaret. This is Sonja Settles Hatmaker. I am David's daughter. I have lost all my info and am so grateful to you for this!--Hatmakers 14:13, 8 January 2010 (EST)

Hi Margmarieh,

I repaired the link on the Hardin County page. Thanks for leaving the message regarding the broken link.--Beth 09:41, 23 June 2008 (EDT)

I just realized that I may not have said "Thank You", a million years ago. To some folks who wanted to help me out!--Maggie 03:10, 12 January 2021 (UTC)

Wilbur Marshburn Settles [11 January 2021]

Morris as I knew him was married to my mother either in 1969 or 1970. I was very young and know that it was before I started school. Her name was Betty Lee Bowker and he was still married to her when he died in 1983.

== Thanks, I never knew he was called "Morris"; I will add that to his profile at familysearch.org! ==--Maggie 03:12, 12 January 2021 (UTC)

I made it, at last [28 November 2011]

I just registered, now to set up my page. Nice to see a familiar face. Lee Scott--Gypsy1930 17:53, 28 November 2011 (EST)

Phereby Bishop (1)

Hi, Maggie. I was looking for another Phereby and found your page: Phereby Bishop (1). It's an interesting name, one I'd never seen before. I was also curious to know where Lawson's Fork is -- is it the name of a creek? Anyway, no big deal on the clean up. Good to see you are still paying attention.
