Upchurch family info [13 September 2007]

Hi Kimberly......

Thanks for adding that info, and PLEASE feel free to add anything else to any other members of the family that you care to........as you can tell, I / we know next to nothing about that side of the family......... My present husband, CHARLES (CHUCK) EDMUND RAMSAY's mother was an UPCHURCH....(MAUD CATHERINE UPCHURCH) from Bates, Sebastian Cnty, Arkansas......she married ONIE RICHARD RAMSAY and they had 15 kids, Chuck is the 2nd eldest.......

I dont have much info, though we are getting pretty deep into the Ramsay side of things, and involved in one of those DNA tests to work out just whether or not he is a legitimate Ramsay or not.........

If you wish you can contact me direct at: ragnbone(at)sbcglobal.net.......I would love to exchange info with you and Im sure my husband would be only too happy to find out about his mother's family, as he is beginning only at 68 y.o to find out about his father's.........

Regards and look forward to hearing from you again, Karan Nicolaisen - Ramsay (ex-pat Aussie...LOL) in Oklahoma......--Ragnbone 11:18, 13 September 2007 (EDT)

Hi Kimberly......

I am sorry. I made a terrible mistake with all these names going round in my head......my husbands MOTHER was EVELYN UPCHURCH not Grace Maud, that was HER mother, my husbands g/mother, who was GRACE MAUD WILSON before she married LEE BRITTON (various spellings recorded on that one) UPCHURCH in Arkansas......

It seems my husband is connected on your Dad's side with everyone of those names you listed......UPCHURCH....COOK.....RAMSAY/EY......WILSON.....

Would you be willing to tell me here or in private, just who your dad is?...which one of those families he is directly connected to?

So welcome to the families.....(LOL)

If you would care to contact me at : ragnbone(at)sbcglobal.net we could talk more privately and possibly eschange information on those families....

I look forward to hearing from you

Naming pages [16 September 2007]

Hi, I'm an admin on WeRelate. Thank-you for contributing! Just FYI: You may want to use this convention in the future, Person and Family page titles on WeRelate use only the first given name and complete surname of the person, or husband and wife for families. So the title of a person page for John Fitzgerald Kennedy, Jr. would be just "John Kennedy". Cousins searching for common ancestors may be thrown off by middle and other names, if they haven't run across them before. Consistency makes the system easier to use. If you have the middle name, please type it after a space in the Given name field on the person page. Along these same lines, if a surname is spelled in multiple ways, you can use the most common variation as the primary surname and enter the other variations as alternate names on the Person page (best approach), or you can enter all variations separated by slashes as a single name (e.g., Kennedy/Kenedy), but please don't use parentheses (e.g., Ken(n)edy) -- these make it difficult to index and categorize the name so that others can find it. Thanks for using WeRelate!--Dallan 18:55, 16 September 2007 (EDT)
