Butterfield-Cook in Massachusetts [15 November 2011]

Hi Dave--

I'm a researcher attached to the 22nd Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry group of living historians. I came across your pages while researching the ancestry and descent from 22nd MVI veteran Orrin Cook, married to Harriet "Una" Butterfield Cook. I would love to compare notes and share research. It appears that at the very least, you have a bit of information on Harriet that I am missing, in the form of the noted monograph from Warner Haynes.

Please-- feel free to reach back to me at jlawrence@22ndmass.org.

I would love to discuss, truly.

Also-- If, as it appears, you are descended from Orrin and Harriet (Butterfield) Cook... well... that would be a prize element to know in and of itself.

Ruth Bearse 1762-1835 [23 September 2012]

Hi Dave! I cannot verify that this Ruth is dau of Hezekiah. There were two Ruth Bearse, both of Halifax, MA. "Mine" married Francis Cook,17 Apr 1781. The other Ruth m. 13 Aug 1777 Charles Sturtevant, [Halifax Vitals, pp 20 & 21]. It appears Ruth (who married Sturtevant) was dau of Hezekiah. I cannot find "my" Ruth's parents. Any other sources you've been able to find? Thanks! ssliviak@gmail.com--SandyS 16:12, 23 September 2012 (EDT)
