Special characters ann surname in place pages [24 September 2007]

Hi, I am an admin for WeRelate and it's my job to help new users get the most out of WeRelate. I noticed that you have several surname in place items on your home page but that the links weren't created for any but the last one. I don't know if you care, but if you would like to have pages for each of your research areas like Phillips in Texas, the system will create them for you if you enter only one spelling of a surname and one place. It automatically categorize your pages if you follow our conventions for place names. We usually write out all words (no abbreviations), capitalize only the first letter and don't use special characters like ">" and "<". Also the system is case sensitive, so it sees ENG as a different place than England. So, when your cousins looks at the category for Category:England, your page will be in the index. I would be happy to answer any questions, just leave a message on my talk page. Welcome to WeRelate.--sq 14:22, 24 September 2007 (EDT)

Place name edit [4 March 2010]

Hope you don't mind that I edited your placenames to comply with WeRelate placename protocol and existing placename structure. That should make it easier for you to match with others researching your names and categorize your areas of research.--BobC 13:18, 4 March 2010 (EST)
