Pennsylvania Project ? [31 May 2015]

I noticed your mention of a Pennsylvania Project. I wonder if you could elaborate more just what you have in mind? I'm currently working on a study of all Jacksons in Fayette County (PA) and it is turning out to be a larger study than I anticipated. Taking on the whole state would be more than anyone could do! --janiejac 16:03, 30 May 2015 (UTC) I would pursue the families of the settlers of PA pre-1776, likely by town or surname. It would never be complete. My colonist ancestors include Samuel Sellers (English Quaker)and Thomas Wynne and Thomas Griffith (Welsh Quakers). The project is not limited to Quakers, though. What I am trying to imitate is the Tapestry project which studies settlers in Augusta County,VA and their ancestors in Chester County (It overlaps with my project a little bit here.). Of course, I am covering a whole state, so that's harder. I will maybe pursue the Philadelphia region first (perhaps those on this map and this map and then maybe add on other counties (like Lehigh) later on. --bartsimpson 21:40, 31 May 2015 (UTC)

Wow! those are quite some maps! Thanks for the summary; interesting but outside of my goals (and abilities). Clicking on those maps led me to some bios of very early Jacksons; but again, not lines I have worked on. Some of the Jacksons in Fayette came from Chester County, but not as early as your focus. Thanks for your response. --janiejac 00:54, 1 June 2015 (UTC)
