My user name is SamanthaJ3, and I am fairly new to genealogical research. I started trying to pull together some family tree information when I was younger, but I didn't seriously start pursuing this line of study until my mother passed away and the family photographs seemed to disappear as well. What else was missing?
Well, I still haven't located the pictures that I wanted, but I have managed to run across some of my extended family through sheer luck and stubborn determiniation. That last part I know is a family trait, and I think it's one which we all seem to share in healthy doses.
So while I have yet to find any other family member who cares about family tree research, I'm determined to make sure that if anyone else in my extended family ever does want to find out who their ancestors were, they won't have to start from scratch the way that I did!
