I am trying to find the parents of Nicholas Sperin. Nicholas was (presumed)to be born in Ballingarry, County Limerick, Ireland circa 1795. He left from Dublin and arrived New York in 1834. It is said that he was accompanied by 2 (assumed) brothers, John and William. By year end 1837, Nicholas, along with both (assumed) brothers, a certian James Faulkner and probably David Fitzgibbons migrated to Murray Co., Georgia. The 1840 census lists this family as "five free white males". Shortly thereafter, Nicholas and James Faulkner settled in N.E. Cherokee Co. near the Pickens Co. Georgia line. the whereabouts of his 2 (assume) brothers and David Fittsgibbons are unknown. In October of 1843, Nicholas married Elizabeth Gilbert from South Carolina. In summary. The parents of Nicholas Sperin are unknown. I am hoping that someone that shows a John or William Sperin in their lineage would beable to correspond and assist in this search. Another link, Nicholas had a sister Mary Sperin Down(e)s. It is not know if she was his only sister.
