I am an amateur genealogist. A special treat for me is to visit cemeteries and take photos of older gravestones,especially of relatives or even relatives of people I know. I want to upload these (digital) photos to websites but haven't gotten started yet or even chosen which ones. History has come alive for me through genealogy research. All of the information on the web is exhillarating! It is great to use Google Earth to see the exact places where our ancestors lived and to read about events there that happened when they were alive. I am discovering a whole other world. Most of my research is in the northeastern and southeastern U.S. with some in the Midwest and now I am working on some Irish ancestry.
