I'm looking for my paternal ancestors (Carr) who I've traced to Michigan from New York from New Jersey in the 1700s. Documentation is pretty slim for those times so I don't have hard evidence for the colonial Carrs. And the distance from MI to NJ is difficult. My ultimate goal is to find the immigrant to the colonies. My maternal ancestors hail from Denmark and emigrated from there in the late 1800s. A distant cousin has researched and shared most of that with me so it's easy to put that aside while I keep plugging at the Carr family.
I'm a retired nurse enjoying my home and family and hobbies. Besides genealogy I play bridge, read, and exercise. And occasionally babysit for my grandkids.
