I am looking for a Price family of the Cumberland Mountains of rural Kentucky, a small town called Mount Vernon in particular. There were several generations of country doctors in the family. The doctor profession ended when my grandfather Estil George Price moved to Indianapolis.

My father's name was John Burlyn Price or Burlyn John Price. Born July 2, 1914; Died June 13, 1965. He was a commander of POWs in the U.S. during WWII, a Captain in the Army, stationed out of Fort Sheridan in Illinois.

He married my mother, Isabel Margaret Schneck of Rib Mountain (Wausau), Wisconsin, in Chicago, Illinois in approximately 1945.

I am their only child, John Mark Price, Born in Wausau, Wisconsin, in 1951.

My father left the Army to go into business in photography in the late 1940's. They operated photography studios in Wausau, Wisconsin; Green Bay, Wisconsin, and Seymour, Wisconsin.

I grew up mostly in Green Bay, Wisconsin, graduating from GB Southwest High School in 1970.

I was a public school teacher and administrator and university professor in the University of Wisconsin system until I was forced into early retirement due to two bouts of blindness and complications of nine eye surgeries.

I married Pamela J. Metko in Green Bay in 1974 (divorced 1983); married Conni L. Berray in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, in 1984. We have one child, Samuel J. Price, born in Neenah, Wisconsin, in 1984.
