My name is Kathryn Doyle and I am an active member of the California Genealogical Society and Library in Oakland, California. I sit on the board of directors and on the combined Publications and Marketing Committee. I oversee Internet presence for the society which includes editing our electronic newsletter, the CGS eNews, writing the blog, updating our Facebook page and "tweeting" for the society. In addition to my membership in my local society (I have no California ancestors!), I belong to three county societies in Pennsylvania where my forebears lived (Blair, Indiana and Huntingdon) and to the National Genealogical Society (NGS).
