William White (1816 to 189?) a farmer and his wife Rebecca Thompson (1818 to 1895) were both born in Ireland. They emigrated to Canada about 1839 and William purchased one hundred acres of land in King Township, York County, Canada West (now Ontario) in 1845. William sold the King Township property in 1862 and moved the family to Simcoe County, Canada West. William and Rebecca had nine children; John, Robert, Thomas, William, Isabella, Sarah, James, Rebecca and Elizabeth Ann. Rebecca White died 26 August 1895 in Alliston, Simcoe County.

John White (born 1838 in Ireland) was living with his parents in Simcoe County in 1871.

Robert White (born 14 May 1840 in Canada West) a carpenter married Mary Jane Simpson (born 16 September 1842) 24 April 1861 in York County. Robert and Mary Jane had twelve children.

Thomas White (born 27 February 1842 in Vaughan Township, York County) a farmer married Anna Maria Street (born 1842) 24 December 1861 in Simcoe County. Thomas and Anna Maria had six children.

William White (born 29 December 1844 in Vaughan Township, York County) a farmer married Catherine Simpson (born in 15 October 1847) 7 March 1867 in York County. Catherine was a sister to Robert White's wife Mary Jane Simpson. William and Catherine had four children.

Isabella White (born 1846 in King Township, York County) married James Irwin (born 1837) 23 December 1863 in Simcoe County. James and Isabella had four children.

Sarah White (born 24 March 1848 in King Township, York County) married Thomas Apperley (born 25 January 1845) 4 November 1868 in Simcoe County. Thomas purchased a lot in the Village of Nicolston, Essa Township, Simcoe County 1 February 1873. Thomas and Sarah had seven children when they decided in 1881 to move west and claim a homestead near Whitewood, Assiniboia District, Northwest Territories (now Saskatchewan). Five more children were born in Whitewood. Sarah died 5 September 1902 and Thomas died 23 August 1926. Thomas and Sarah are buried in the cemetery at Whitewood.

James White (born 1850 in King Township, York County) married Margaret Latchford (born 30 July 1856 in New York) 17 September 1877 in Alliston, Simcoe County. James and Margaret had six children.

Rebecca White (born 1853 in King Township, York County) married William Apperley (born 31 July 1850) 30 January 1872 in Toronto, York County. William was a brother to Sarah White's husband, Thomas Apperley. Rebecca died 29 April 1875 in Simcoe County.

Elizabeth Ann White (born 1857 in King Township, York County) married John Bruce (born 1854) 8 May 1877 in Essa Township, Simcoe County. John and Elizabeth Ann had three children.
