Hi Fellow Researchers!

My main lines are Miller and Walker & they are both brick walls for me. My Millers were not fond of the census, in fact, my ggrandfather was known to run the census taker off with a shotgun. Therefore I have had difficulty finding proof that details from family stories are true, or not true, the difficulty starts with my ggrandfather, John Thomas Miller, supposedly born in Madisonville, Madison, Texas in 1871 - died in late 1905 or Jan 1906. Buried in Morgan Cemetery, Splendora, Montgomery Co., Texas ( I have seen the tombstone for myself). If anyone has any clues or any ideas where I could search for a census dodging ggrandfather, would love to hear your ideas!

My Walkers have a different problem, my grandfathers parents died when he was a small child, both around the same time, probably in Goliad but possibly in Colorado or DeWitt Counties, Texas. It is said they were originally from Alabama. Searching for the father of Hamilton Glen Walker, possible name, Robert, mother said to be Nettie Grizzard. Hamp born in 1871 in DeWitt Co., Texas.

Thanks for any help you can give! Hope you all can benefit from the info I put here, also. Lillian
