Yanceyville is a town in and the county seat of Caswell County, North Carolina, United States. It is located in the Piedmont Triad region of the state. Listed as a small town, Yanceyville's total area is , of which is water.[1] At the 2020 census, the town had a population of 1,937.

The settlement was founded in 1792 and was later named Yanceyville in honor of Bartlett Yancey, Jr. when chartered as an incorporated town in 1833.[2] The township's economy is diversified, with the agricultural sector producing an assortment of crops, livestock, and poultry. Yanceyville's climate is average for the Piedmont area of the state, with January as the coldest month and July as the hottest. The town receives an annual average of 8.8 inches (22 cm) of snow and 48.11 inches (1,222 mm) of rain.[3]

There are three public schools in Yanceyville as well as a satellite campus for Piedmont Community College.[4] Two notable parks in the town are Maud F. Gatewood Municipal Park and Caswell Community Arboretum.[5] Caswell County Civic Center in Yanceyville has a full-size professionally equipped stage with 912 seats.[6]

The town is home to one airport, Yanceyville Municipal Airport, which serves general aviation (GA) aircraft. Interstate 40 and 85 are presently the nearest interstates to the area. Interstate 785 will become the closest interstate highway to Yanceyville at approximately 16 miles (25.7 km) when completed in the late 2020s.
