• Internet Archive: 1st Population Census of the United States - 1790 has free images of the 1790 census. Census images can be browsed by location; there is not a name-index or search function.
• Many local libraries offer free home access (through their websites) to Heritage Quest, which has searchable images of the 1790 census.
