Conflict Errors
- Pg 7 & 10
- On Pg 7, Lapham indicates that Ebenezer Knox is married to Elizabeth Ricker. The New England Historical and Genealogical Register, 5:310, indicates that Elizabeth Ricker was the daughter of John and Hannah (Garland) Ricker.
- On Pg 10, the same Ebenezer Knox is married to Abigail Ricker, daughter of John and Dorcas (Garland) Ricker. As of Jan 2014, research indicates that the only Dorcas Garland [3 Apr 1698 - ?] to marry into the Ricker family married Ephraim Ricker [15 Feb 1695/6 - ?], son of George and Eleanor (Evans) Ricker. There is no indication that they had a daughter by the name of Abigail.
- Part of the confusion over this family connection most likely derived from the fact that Hannah and Dorcas Garland were sisters. [ NEHGR, 5:309-10 ].
