Civil Registration in Ireland started in 1845 for non-Catholic marriages, and was only extended to cover births, deaths and all marriages in 1864. The index for Irish civil registration up to the 1950s is available at FamilySearch. The details have to be released as certificates issued for a fee by the General Register Office for Ireland. |
